Liverpool bound player Naby Keita, who will be switching sides to the Premier League by the end of the season, has gotten himself on the sideline of RB Leipzig as he was seen out of the field injured when playing against Eintracht Frankfurt, according to report from Bundesliga official site.
The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was said to have plotted a move for the Guinea International to be brought to the team during the winter transfer window. But both clubs failed to agree on the same terms which means Klopp will have to wait until the end of the season for the Leipzig star arrival.
RB Leipzig was already on the losing track when Keita succumbed to his injury and their centre back Willi Orban acclaimed a deep knee cut, which made it a lot worse to equalize in the match, with Frankfurt 2-1 up.
Leipzig said they still are not sure of the time frame Keita will be out for:
“Naby Keita tore a muscle in his right thigh. Will Orban sustained a deep cut on his knee and had to receive stitches. It is unclear how long both will be out for.”
However, the 23-year-old midfielder and the centre back injuries is a massive one for the German club as they will be missing out on the return leg of the Europa League, as they will be hosting Napoli on Friday.
Keita will be joining up the Reds at the end of the season, as part of the agreement both clubs agree on after failed trial of bringing him up early in the Winter.
