Celtic mercilessly destroyed bitter rivals Rangers on Sunday’s Old Firm Derby – and one man who really enjoyed the Hoops performance more than most was Liverpool’s and Scotland international full-back Andy Robertson.
The Hoops played their arch enemies in Glasgow’s East End on Sunday afternoon knowing three points would mean they’ve secured their seventh consecutive Premiership title, and it wasn’t long before the goal started entering into the net.
Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring sheet for the Hoops just 14 minutes and, in fact, the Scottish giants had raced into a stunning 5-0 lead after just 53 minutes, leaving the Gers and their players utterly humiliated.
Given this was one of the biggest fixtures British football has to offer, Given it’s one of the biggest fixtures British football has to offer, the eyes of the UK were on Celtic Park this afternoon and one lad in Merseyside particularly enjoyed what he was watching:
He might be one of Europe’s most in-form left-backs for Liverpool at the moment, but it wasn’t so long ago that Robertson was a humble youth team player – at Celtic Park.
Who knows – perhaps he’ll head back to his boyhood heroes one day in the future.
For now, he’s simply enjoying watching things from afar.
