Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa.
The Serie A giants recently slapped a £62 million price tag on their prized assest to fend-off interest for the midfielder this summer.
However, according to English tabloid, The Guardian, the duo of Liverpool and Man United are considering launching a bid for the 20-year-old midfielder.
Also according to report, the likes of Manchester City, Napoli and Inter Milan are believe to be keen on signing the midfielder, although the latter are unwilling to meet his asking price.
If reports are anything to go by, Chelsea and Liverpool are said to have sent scouts to Italy to watch the striker in action with Sampdori.
It’s now believe the Serie A club head-coach Stefano Pioli has handed his suitors a huge boost in the pursuit of the midfielder.
Piolo told Rai Radio:
“I’m calm, even if you can never be in football.
“Can Chiesa become a ‘bandiera’ or will he be sold like (Federico) Bernardeschi? I don’t know.
“What I can say is that he’s grown a lot – he’s made great strides and he can become very important for this club.”
Chiesa made his competitive debut for Fiorentina in their 2-1 away defeat to Juventus in 2016. He has represented the Italy national team at various junior levels and made his senior debut in a friendly against Argentina in March 2018.
