Manchester United have found themselves in a three-way battle with Real Madrid and Juventus in the race to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic.
The Serbian international, who rose to fame after a brilliant 2017/18 season with Lazio, is representing Serbia at the World Cup in Russia.
In 42 appearances for Lazio this past season, Savic netted 14 goals and created nine assists across all competitions for the Serie A side. The strong box-to-box midfielder earned strong reviews from pundits and stats collators for his performance and the Serb was one of the best players in the Serie A this season.

Spanish newspaper AS via Bleacher Report even revealed the 13-time Champions League winners are set to sanction a mouth-watering 150 million euros for his signing this summer.
Man United are very interested in signing him as well, but are unwillingly to pay the huge fee being touted by Lazio for his transfer. And with the club already announced the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred, they could back off from the signing of Fred.
The Los Blancos, who are without a head coach at the moment, could end up winning the race to the signing of the midfielder as they are prepared to offer more than the duo club.
