Man Utd ready to trigger €40m release clause for World Cup winger

Manchester United are still in the market for strengthening of their attacking department this summer and they have been linked with Mexico international Hirving Lozano.

If reports making rounds are anything to go by then we should see the Red Devils offering move than the fee placed in the winger’s release clause this summer.

An exclusive report covered by Italian news hub Tutto Mercato Web, claimed the Manchester club are preparing an offer worth in the region of €40million to secure the signing of the North American player this summer, who was in superb form for his side last season.

The winger joined the Dutch giants last year in a reported six-year agreement and has only got a release clause of 40 million dollars (€34million).

He predominantly plays as a left-winger but can also be utilized as second striker in 4-4-2 system, registered 34 appearances in all outings for the Dutch side and scored 19 goals with 11 assists.

Lozano was also in brilliant performance for Mexico at the World Cup competition in Russia, where he scored the winning goals against Germany and set up another assist when his side played against South Korea.

It’s believed Man United are keen on signing him this summer but could face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea who are also reported with interest in the South American winger.
