Tips from BBC has revealed Premier League champions Manchester City are closing in on the double signing of Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez and Napoli midfielder Jorginho, with both deals possibly to be completed by the end of next week.
The former is believed to cost the Citizens around £60m with the latter’s fee reportedly set at £42m.
Back in January, the club walked away from a potential deal for the Algeria international because their move was rejected by the Foxes valuation.
There were reports of sparked between the 27-year-old and the club, with Mahrez handing in a transfer request to the club.
Mahrez, who had severally been linked with Arsenal since the past two summers, joined the Foxes from Le Havre back in 2014 has netted 48 goals across 179 appearances for the team in all competition.
Mahrez was named the club’s PFA Players’ of the Year as the Foxes won the Premier League in 2016.
Jorginho, on the hand, signed Napoli in 2014 and made 36 appearances for the Serie A side last season, while also scoring against City in the Champions League in November.
The duo will not be participating for this summer’s World Cup competition in Russia after their nations failed to qualify for the tournament in Russia.
It all remains to be seen whether or not the Premier League champions would see to the end of this deal or before end of the World Cup.
