Manchester United interested in Real Madrid midfielder

Europe are now on high alerts as per reports stating that Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovačić will be eyeing a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu.

Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be watching closely the midfielder and his relations at Spain ahead of a possible transfer in the Summer.

Throughout last summer, the 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu, but the midfielder was ruled out to stay at Madrid. Now the Croatian midfielder is being tipped with a move in the summer as he struggles to make a first team appearance with the Los Blancos.

Now according to reports from Spanish Outlet AS, the Red Devils are one of the top four clubs gunning for the midfielder are said to be monitoring the situation of Kovačić at Madrid, with Premier League rivals Tottenham said to be interested, Juventus and his former club Inter Milan also interested.

The reports further claim that, the Midfielder table a transfer request last summer but was ignored and he would be considering a move to the Premier League, if he will get himself more game time and a first team football as he further thinks about the World cup in Russia this year, as the winter transfer is passed, he could only pray for first team in the World Cup finals.

The Red Devils on the other hand, are looking to strengthen their team and possible bring in a midfielder after seeing the flaws in record signing Paul Pogba in their Tottenham defeat.

The Reds manager dropped Pogba in the weekend match against Huddersfield, which United got a 2-0 victory with new signing Alexis Sanchez scoring his first goal and Romelu Lukaku back on the score sheet once more.

Mourinho was asked how Pogba felt when he was named as substitute, he said:

“The reaction you saw – coming to the pitch with great desire to play.”

“To be honest, at half-time he was already, because I can analyse body language, showing that he was ready.

“Ready with physio, he was already starting his warming up, so I think he showed the way he took it in a very professional way.”

However, Manchester United will still be going in for Mateo Kovačić in the summer as their manager is keen for a reinforcement.
