Premier League club Chelsea F.C. have been handed a transfer boost as Barcelona have reportedly confirmed France World Cup winner Ousmane Dembele will be available for transfer when the window reopens in January.
Dembele was a target for Chelsea in the past and aside being a target for the Blues, he was strongly linked with a move to one of their rival in the league Arsenal.
Now according to new reports, it’s claimed some of Barcelona’s most high profile stars are not happy with Dembele’s attitude as the Frenchman is often late to meetings and training and they are urging Barca boss Ernesto Valverde to ship him out in January.
RAC1 via the Metro say that Barcelona players will get their wish and the midfielder will be allowed to move on in January if any interested club submit a fee worth they’ll worth his signature.
As with Barcelona paying a substantial fee, around €105m + €40m in add-ons, for his signing in the summer of 2016, the Catalan giants will want to recoup most, if not all, of that back, which might be too big price for Chelsea considering how stack up their current team is at the moment.
With the likes of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian in top form at the club, it remains to be seen if the Blues would look to sign another wide forward this January.
