Manchester united boss Jose Mourinho has recently identified Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal as one of the potential summer signings, he would be landing come summer, as per reports.
January winter transfer window was quite not as expected for the Red Devils, as they were only able to sign Alexis Sanchez from rivals Arsenal in a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave the club.
Manchester United are currently sitting in second place of the Premier League table as they failed to keep up with Manchester City, who are currently dominating the League with 15 points clear.
Now reports are claiming Mourinho is set to go on another spending spree this coming summer as in the bid of strengthening his team, with Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini on their way out of the team after failing to sign new contract extension at Old Trafford.
With the arrival of summer coming, Mourinho, as per reports, will be instructing United’s Board to sanction a move for Chilean International Vidal to extends his options in the midfield and also strengthen his team for the next campaign.
Since joining the Reds two summers ago, the Portuguese coach has managed to bring in Paul Pogba in a then World-record transfer fee of £89 million in 2016, and bringing in Nemanja Matic from Chelsea for a fee of £40 million last summer bringing in also Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a free agent.
But the Red Devils have struggled this season, when Pogba got sidelined for a while and Matic, has not been very inspiring this season and has played over 30 games for the Reds this campaign, while Ibrahimovic has been an injury-plagued player.
Vidal has quickly become a key player for Bayern since joining the German club from Juventus in 2015, with his current contract set to expire next year.
And Vidal is said to not be the only player linked with a summer move to Old Trafford, as Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic has also been heavily linked.
However, after a suffering a defeat to Tottenham during the week, Manchester United will be set to come stronger this weekend.
