Reports reaching us today is claiming Premier League giants Manchester United are considering making move to sign Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.
As reported by Don Balon via Sky Sports, it’s claimed that the Red Devils are working on hijacking Bale from Madrid and that the goalkeeper is one of a number of players on a transfer wish-list.
It’s added that Bale could be available for a transfer come this January on a “cut price” when the window reopens again.
With Cristiano Ronaldo joining Juventus in the summer, the former Tottenham Hotspur forward expected to fill the hole left by the Portuguese but with Bale struggling to find his best form so far, he could be shown the exit door at Bernabeu in January.
Los Blancos are looking for a new manager at the moment having dispensed with Julen Lopetegui recently and it now appears that there could be a major transfer overhaul at the club as well next summer.
The four-time UEFA Champions League winer has been an integral part of the success of the Real Madrid squad in the Champions League with his stunning overhead kick in the final against Liverpool last season still fresh in the mind, but injuries have stunted his career and it could be that a return to the Premier League in 2019 is now on the cards.
Man United have been linked with the player, who’s currently rated at £81m on a number of occasions in recent years and it seems that the stories won’t go away if this latest news is to be believed.
United have struggled to challenge cross town rivals Manchester City in recent years despite spending a shed load of money and the fans at Old Trafford will now be hoping that these links to bale turn out to be true.
