Mourinho to hijack Chelsea’s move for UCL and Europa winner

According to reports, Chelsea former boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a reunion with his former player Gary Cahill this summer.

As reported by the Evening Standard yesterday, the Chelsea defender is said to be eyeing a move away from Chelsea before the end of the month.

Cahill is not happy with playing life at the Bridge as he’s no longer guaranteed a starting place in the first-team, and there’s plenty of competition for a playing at defence.

The Blues have the likes of David Luiz, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta while Kurt Zouma are all fighting for their place in the Blues’ rank with Cahill.

Elsewhere, the Blues are also said to be eyeing move for Sarri’s old player Daniele Rugani from Juventus’ who’s reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea while likes of Jamaal Lascelles and Alessio Romagnoli have also been linked with a move to the Bridge.

Bookmakers are backing Manchester United to sign Cahill this summer having priced the Red Devils at 5/4 to bring him to Old Trafford this summer, with Wolves (3/1), West Ham (4/1), Everton (9/1) and Liverpool (11/1) the other likely destinations.

Cahill so far with Chelsea, has won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, the League Cup and both Champions League and Europa League trophies with the Blues, and he will go down as one of the club most accomplished players in their history once his time there comes to its end.
