Next Man Utd transfer deal close: Antonio Conte agrees Man United move

Manchester United as of today, sacked Jose Mourinho as the club’s head-coach after the Portuguese gaffer’s two and a half years at Old Trafford.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss led the Red Devils to the League Cup and Europa League title trophy in his first season in-charge.

However, his performance at the helm of the club recently was very poor and his has led to his sacking having only led he team to being sixth in the Premier League, 19 points behind league leaders Liverpool, who trashed the club 3-1 on Sunday.

According to official statement from the club, a caretaker-manager will be appointed as the club’s boss until the end of the season while they conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new manager on a full-time.

Several names have been touted to replace Mourinho who took over from Louis van Gaal in May 2016 while the club also announced that a caretaker coach haven’t been chosen from either his assistant coach Michael Carrick or academy boss Nicky Butt but rather from a person outside the club.

Another Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been tagged to be a favorite to replace Mourinho.
