As per reports, Chelsea looks “very close” to completing the signing of Gonzalo Higuain who looks set to leave Juventus this summer following the club’s signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
Higuian, along with the likes of Daniele Rugani and Alex Sandro are one of the players available for transfer at the Turin club this summer as the club are looking to raise transfer funds for new sigings, and Chelsea have been linked with the striker, which could be Maurizio Sarri’s second signing as manager of the Stamford Bridge club.
Higuian, enjoyed the best season of his career under the Blues new head-coach where he scored 38 goals in 42 appearances during the 2015/16 Serie A season. He also won the Capocannoniere title that saw him smashed Serie A’s standing 87-year-old record for the most goals scored in a single season.
With the signing of Ronaldo, the Argentine gametime is surely going to reduced as the former will likely be leading the attack for the Serie A club and Higuain would want to reunite with his former boss.
