Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp strengthen the core of his team defence with the acqusition of left-back Andrew Robertson last year from Hull City.
However, the German tactician preferred using Moreno at the start but after knee injury to the Spaniard, Robertson cemented his place in the Reds’ first team. Robertson has been impressive for the Reds and the Scottish deserves to be a regular starter for Liverpool this upcoming season.
Nevertheless, if reports making rounds bears fruit, Liverpool are eyeing move for another left-back in the form of Brazilian international Alex Telles.
As report by Portuguese outlet Corrieo da Manha, the Merseyside are one of the interested teams looking to secure the signing of the Porto defender and the Primeira Liga side have slapped a €40million release clause in his contract, which runs until 2021.
Telles was a brilliant star for the Portuguese giants in their title winning run last season. The midfielder was not only top class in the defense but also proved to be effective in the attack.
He registered 45 appearances for Porto last season and was directly involved in 24 goals for Porto netting four goals and 20 assists.
It has also been mentioned that many top European side are looking to complete move for the player after the World Cup ends and Telles could depart as well. It is again stressed that the player will be sold for €40million, which is not enough to scare off Liverpool and other suitors.
