Thibaut Courtois’ agent confirms there’s an offer from Real Madrid

The agent of Chelsea and Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed the goalkeeper as an offer from Real Madrid but the Blues are still keen on keeping the goalkeer at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer.

The goalkeeper has just one left to run on his current contract with Chelsea, meaning the Premier League club must do whatever they need to so they don’t lose the goalkeeper for free.

And in an exclusive interview with The Sun, the Belgian’s agent Christophe Henrotay made clear in no uncertain terms that Courtois has his heart set on a move back to Madrid.

Courtois, who won the World Cup golden gloves, is no new to playing life at Madrid having spent three years on loan with Atletico Madrid before returning the Chelsea and he has his children in the Spanish capital as well.

The Blues manager Maurizio Sarri suggested earlier this week that a move would be “up for the goalkeeper” but his agent Henrotay insists the issue in the goalkeeper’s move to Madrid is Chelsea’s refusal to sell him.

He said:

“I have been reading everywhere that Chelsea are saying it is up to Thibaut, but he has made it clear to the club that the best option for him is to move to Madrid.

“For him this is a big decision because he wants to be near his family, and there is an offer in place for Chelsea to accept.”

  1. I do really appreciate what Curtois have done for CFC in general, but I do think he should consider signing another contract extension in return of the favour the CFC fan base have shown him all in his career…from ditching the great CECH for his own sake. Long grace is easier for mad people to forget

  2. IF a player shows even the slightest sign of discontent in a club, & suggest he wants out, LET HIM GO! Keeping him against his wishes will NOT ring out the best in him. No player is bigger than the club.

  3. If the goalkeeper wants to live let him live after all he didn’t do much for us because his hart is not with the club,so they should let him go,the ofer from Madrid is better, and they can put money in good use by going for zahah and yung goalkeeper instead of them doing nothing but for their own selfish interest

  4. yeah its not bad to have him leave the club….if he wants to go plz let him go because even performance were not good.
