Arsenal target and Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva has been revealed to have officially put pen to paper to sign a contract extension with the Italian club.
The 32-year-old box-to-box midfielder, who has always been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, new contract is said to keep him at the club till 2022.
The Brazilian midfielder, who joined the Italian club from English side Liverpool in the summer of 2017, has been prolific for his club this season and will be helping his club to achieve a top four spot in the Serie A as they are currently placed 8th in the table with only four points behind Atalanta, who are place fourth, with four games to go.
With that in mind, Leiva will also hoping to lift the Coppa Italia when they play against Atalanta in the final set two weeks from now.
Having signed a new contract with Lazio, Arsenal will be looking elsewhere in the Serie A with Dennis Praet still in Unai Emery’s mind.
