Having appointed Maurizio Sarri as the new head-coach on Friday, Chelsea are fully set to a new life with their new manager.
Sarri joins Chelsea with no chances of him being able to sign some of his former player at Napoli. In such a scenario, Chelsea have reportedly held talks with Juventus over the possibility of signing striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer.
As per the Daily Mail, Higuain earns around £240,000 per week with Juventus and is said to be valued at £53m. He netted 40 goals in his last two Serie A season with the Italian club.
Higuain’s form is much hotter than that of Alvaro Morata, who have endured a torrid debut season in the Premier League last season netting just 11 goals.
It’s believed that Chelsea are reportedly lining up Morata as part of the deal will see Higuain join Chelsea this summer.
A report written by Matt Barlow and Simon Jones explained:
“Chelsea held talks with Juve but would like any deal to include a move in the other direction for record signing Alvaro Morata.
“A swap deal involving Morata would cut back on the fee for Higuain, who is valued at £53m by the Italian champions.”
Morata enjoyed two seasons at Juve between 2014 and 2016 and regularly holidays in Italy.
