Everything looks set for tonight’s battle between Real Madrid and Liverpool at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex, Kiev, Ukraine which is the final tournament of the 2017/18 Champions League season. The two European giants secured their tickets to Kiev by beating the likes Bayern Munich and Roma, respectively.
Real Madrid are playing their fourth final in the last five years and are hoping to make this a third win in a row and the thirteenth European title in their history.
Liverpool, on the other hand, want to replicate the outcome of the final won against the Los Blancos in Paris, and it would be their sixth title. The Merseyside’s last success in the tournament was far back as 2004/2005 season with a penalty victory in Istanbul against Serie A giants AC Milan after a surprising 0-3 comeback to 3-3.
There are some doubts in the Zinedine Zidane’s squad. Gareth Bale appears to be favoured over Benzema for a place next to Cristiano Ronaldo, with Isco also making the lineup.
Emre Can has recovered for the Reds and should start from the bench. Kick-off at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev is set for 20:45.
Real Madrid (4-3-1-2): Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Isco; Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Liverpool (4-3-3): Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mané.
