Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is reportedly at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Premier League clubs Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.
The Glasgow champions are said to be considering the sale of the player to the highest bidder as he is now into the final 12 months of his contract with the club.
Despite Armstrong’s below-par performance for Celtic last season, limited to just 15 Scottish Premiership starts to his name, the Premier League club are rumoured to have made their interest known in the player.
According to the Daily Record, it may be a straight war between Albion and Palace as both side are looking for a new creative midfielder.
Other reports indicate that Southampton maintain a long-running interest in the player, however, and West Bromwich Albion may also be in contention for his signature.
Armstrong signed and agreed a one-year contract extension with Celtic and maintain a long-running interest last year following a six-month standoff with Celtic.
