According to report from The Telegraph, Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is closing in on becoming Chelsea’s new manager this summer.
The Italian gaffer arrival at Stamford Bridge would spell end for Antonio Conte, who won the Premier League title and the FA Cup during his first-two season with the west London club.
In this two seasons, Chelsea played a free-flowing attacking football during the 2016/17 season, which was notably seen during their 13-match win streak in the Premier League.
However, this past season was take a new twist. The tactics Conte’s don failed him. The Blues performance against top and smaller team were annoying to watch.
Napoli’s game last season was one for watch and will be incredibly optimistic ahead of Sarri’s proposed appointment. The Napples were one of the most entertaining teams in Europe, perhaps were only ranked behind Pep Gurdiola’s Manchester City.
Sarri’s with Chelsea is one to look forward to, but the Italian gaffer will have some scrutiny checks at this current Blues squad in order to get them playing his way. Sarri would also have to look to the transfer market in search of summer acquisitions to help boost his chances in the Premier League against the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Unai Emery, Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and others.
