According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering the signing of Chelsea playmaker N’Golo Kante this summer.
The Ligue 1 champions, who ended their season with 13 points above runners-up AS Monaco, are “keen” on adding the Frenchman to their ranks for the upcoming 2018/19 season.
Kante, a France international with 24 international caps, netted one goals and provided two assists across 48 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season.
The French midfielder joined Chelsea back in the summer of 2016 following his reported £32m move from Leicester City, and has gone on to register a total 89 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
However, if the reports above bears fruit, PSG are willing to sanction a mouth-watering “£90m fee” for the signing of the defensive midfielder, who earns a whooping £120,000 weekly at Stamford Bridge this summer, as the Les Parisiens boss Thomas Tuchel is planning ahead of his first season in-charge with the Ligue 1 giants.
Kante, however, is still tied with Chelsea until June 2021, earn a starting role in France 2-1 victory over Australia on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea’s current current club-record transfer from selling one of their player is £60m which they earn when they sold Brazilian’s Oscar’s to Chinese club Shanghai SIPG last year.
