According to the Express, Premier League giants, Everton F.C. are leading the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey. Liverpool and Chelsea are also believed to be in the race for the winger’s signature.
The Jamaica forward has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, however, all attempt for his signature has failed to materialize.
A report by Footmercato in June claimed the winger was in talks over a move to Manchester City, while the Express cited Liverpool and Arsenal as suitors in March. However, it appears that the latest club vying for his signature are Everton and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur. According to Sport via online casinos us, they say on their website that both Spurs and the Toffees scout were both present to watch him in action in his side recent Europa League action against Rangers.
The Express, however, now claim on their website that interest from Everton’s Premier League rivals for the winger has faded while Carlo Ancelotti’s side continues to monitor his progress.
Bailey is a quick and skillful winger, who is currently valued at around £25 million real money online slots. According to Sky Sports, the tabloid says the Leverkusen man is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Bailey told Four Four Two back in November 2018 how he turned down the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea during his time with Belgian side Genk, but now could be the right time to make the move.
The 22-year-old has netted seven goals and three assists in all competitions this term and would surely do well playing with some other top names at the Goodison Park.
Everton waned towards the end of their Premier League campaign, culminating in a 3-1 home defeat to relegated Bournemouth on the final day of the season. The Toffees are desperately short of creative players out wide and in midfield.
Ancelotti is a world-class manager. However, without the tools to succeed, the Italian will struggle to break into the top four with the Merseyside club.
