Celtic and Denmark international Erik Sviatchenko looks set to sign a permanent deal with FC Midtjylland this uumer. The centre-back returned to his homeland and his former side on loan in January.
According to reports coming from Denmark claimed Sviatchenko is prepared to agree a new deal that will see him with the club until 2022 after both clubs agreed a transfer fee.
Sviatchenko was signed to Celtic by former Hoops Ronny Deila in a reported £1.2million move in January 2016. However, the centre-back lost his place at the club during the double treble campaign and made only 10 appearances before his temporary switch.
He helped Midtjyllan secured their second title last weekend. They won in stunning fashion after long-time title holders Brondby collapsed, failing to win any of their last three games.
“I was brought here to win the title, so it’s job done for me. It’s a great feeling to win the league.
“However, I honestly don’t know about my future. I have been focused so much on winning the title I have not thought about it.
“I want to celebrate first.
“It’s hard to answer if I want to stay with Midtjylland or go back to Celtic.
“Every club in the world is an option for me. I don’t know what will happen.
“I won’t rule any club out and if Real Madrid call me, I am ready!”
