Liverpool target Jean-Michaël Seri will be available for around £35 million until the 15th of July before his exit clause is no longer valid and his club OGC Nice can request for any amount they like.
With pre-season fixtures on cards, Liverpool fans have already seen Naby Keita and Fabinho in action in the Reds shirt earlier this week.
The midfielder has been on the Reds radar since January and he has a few days to seal a move before he becomes lot more expensive for suitors to sign this summer.
Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato Web via Transfer Market Web reports that the Ivory Coast “new Yaya Toure” has a release clause which implies he can face the exit door if an offer of £35 million is made from now until Sunday.
His agent Franklin Mala said:
“Seri’s clause is €40m and it is valid until 15th July. After that Nice can ask for any amount they want.”
Liverpool are said to be one of among his suitors as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of the upcoming season while the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Roma and Napoli are also linked.
Earlier this week, Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the Ivory Coast international is close to joining Fulham despite claims from that Liverpool are strongly keen on his signing.

The battle line to sign Seri this summer is drawn and it remains to be seen who will end up signing the midfielder this summer.
