Reports have linked Tottenham Hotspur with Manchester United star Anthony Martial for quite some time now and if latest reports is anything to go by then Mauricio Pochettino is clear to sign the French international from the Red Devils.
Martial failed to impress Jose Mourinho enough to earn a regular first-team football opportunity for the entirety of the last campaign and was found always warming the benching both during crunch matches and fierce ones.
As it stands, Martial is no longer a guaranteed start at Old Trafford under Mourinho. The signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the winter transfer window further diminishes the former Ligue 1 start in the Portuguese starting XI for Man United.
Now, it’s believed Martial’s agent has confirmed he has decided to leave United this summer, stressing clear for his suitors what he requires.
Martial was mostly deployed in the centre-forward role for Monaco before he joined Man United, where he had mainly been deployed in various attacking positions and mostly on the left wing.
Tottenham, however, need to improve the quality and depth of their attacking department and a versatile player like the France international could be a top signing for Spurs.
Last season, Martial could registered 18 appearances in the Premier League, netting nine goals and providing five assists. As per reports, Juventus are credited with interest in the forward, for whom Manchester United are demanding a fee of €50 million for.
