Chelsea are reportedly expected to finalize the transfer of Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain once the Blues announce Maurizio Sarri is their new boss this summer.
If report bears fruit, the Premier League club have reportedly agreed a €60million ($70,526,820.00) deal with Juventus to sign the South American.
The Argentina international has been dubbed one of the world’s most prolific strikers over the course of his career with Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus.
Despite flopping on most outings for Argentina with some notable missed, the striker seems an ideal signing for Chelsea to replace Alvaro Morata this summer.
Having sold Diego Costa back to Chelsea in January, Alvaro Morata who joined the club as a replacement has failed to live up to expectations.
Olivier Giroud, however, was signed to provide competition for the Spaniard, but neither him was able to help Chelsea last season as they ended their season fifth on the Premier League ranking.
Higuain, however, would be an upgrade on the duo. The former Real Madrid striker boast of 55 goals in 105 appearances so far with in his two season with Juve, and has 282 club career goals in total, plus 31 in 75 caps for Argentina.
With Maurizio Sarri appointment looking very likely, a big signing in form of Higuain could potentially be on cards as well, and would surely bring a big improvement on last season’s disappointing 5th placed finish.
