Chelsea’s and Belgium international Eden Hazard is keen on signing a deal with Chelsea but only when he get a clear view on the situation at Chelsea before committing his future to the club. Hazard was Chelsea’s best player last season as they secured the FA Cup title but still missed out on Champions League qualification for the second time in three season.
According to Sky Sports, the Belgium admitted that he wants to know about the club’s stance about the manager’s situation at Stamford Bridge with the season having come to an end. Hazard also added that he would like to see new players, who may help the club’s titles prospects and based on this, he may consider extending his deal with the club.
The £200,000-a-week forward’s future has been a trending speculation around the media over the past few summer transfer windows and each time, Hazard has stressed that he has no intention of leaving the club. However, his stance appears to have changed over the past 12 months and the reported Real Madrid target is now looking towards the progress at Chelsea before deciding on his long-term future.
As far as the managerial issue is concerned at the bridge, Antonio Conte still remains the Blues’ head coach despite strong speculation claiming the Italian could be replaced by former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League last season.
Meanwhile, it’s believed Conte himself is unwilling to leave Chelsea from the final year of his contract with Chelsea and there suggestions that Chelsea may have to pay a fee of around £9m as compensation if they are release him before the conclusion of his deal.
At least, despite Chelsea ending the season fifth in the Premier League last campaign, he ended the season on a high with the Blues be securing the FA Cup crown against arch-rivals Manchester United.
