Liverpool have some youngsters in their ranks that deserves a chance in the first team. The youngsters have been impressive playing second fiddle to every of the Reds’ current first-team players during the early stages of the FA Cup and League One cup.
One among them is Rhian Brewster. Reports earlier this week is claiming the teenage striker is close to sealing a deal with the five time European champions.
According to Sky Sports, they are reporting the 18-year-old centre-forward is set to sign his professional contract with the Champions League finalists.
And BBC on the other hand, claimed the youngster, who was linked with a summer move away from Liverpool, has now agreed terms of a five year contract with the Merseysiders.
Last season, Brewster registered 11 appearances in the Premier League 2 for Liverpool and he directly contributed in 12 goals (5 goals and 7 assists).
As far as national career is concerned, Brewster made his debut for the England U-18 team last year. Playing for the Three Lions U-17 team, he scored 20 goals in 23 appearances.
Not to forget, in the U-17 World Cup last year, Brewster scored 8 goals in just 6 appearances (leading goalscorer) to help England lift the trophy.
At the moment, Liverpool do not have any proven quality striker to cover for Roberto Firmino and they must splash the cash to buy one as soon as possible.
