After several months of speculations, it looks like Manchester United have been handed boost in seeing Marouane Fellaini remain at Old Trafford this summer.
According to a report in Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Niews (HLN), the newspaper revealed Fellaini will announce that he has agreed a new two-year deal to remain at Man United despite seemingly having been linked with exit since March.
Fellaini, according to Sky Sports‘ revealed he’ll break silence over his future that’s been up in air come 1st July.
His current deal in which he’s earning £80,000 a week, is set to expire at the end of the month with Arsenal and AC Milan said to be keen on signing him on a free transfer this summer.
However, the Belgian outlet are reporting that Fellaini has had a surprising turnaround in negotiations and now intends to fight for his place at Old Trafford until 2020.
A new two-year deal at Old Trafford could double his current wages – £160,000-a-week. Fellaini made only 23 Premier League appearances last season with five goals.
