Chelsea could be set for a double announcement this coming week with Atletico Madrid believed to be keen on the signing of Olivier Giroud and move for Gonzalo Higuain loos very closely.
As reported by Sky Sports, Atletico Madrid have approached Premier League club Chelsea over the signing Olivier Giroud on a loan deal this summer.
However, there approach for the World Cup winner is likely to be rebuffed by Chelsea as the Premier League club would prefer do do a permanent deal with the Rojiblancos.
Giroud netted three goals in 13 appearances for Chelsea last season after he joined the club from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The Frenchman was part of the France’s squad that won the 2018 World Cup, although he failed to score in seven appearances for Les Blues in Russia.
However, the La Liga giants’ main target this summer in AC Milan striker Nikola Kalinic but the Croatia international is waiting on a decision from his club as to whether they will allow him to leave the club this summer.
Also, as reported by Sky Sports, the Blues have made initial contact with Juventus over the signing of Argentine international, Gonzola Higuain this summer.
Higuain is likely to join the Blues this summer having once worked with Blues new boss at Napoli before joining Juventus in 2016, and it is believed Chelsea are keen on a reunion with his former boss.
