Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has offer his prediction on West Ham United who play host to Everton to win on the last day of the Premier League season.
Davod Moyes’ side welcomes the Everton to the London Stadium and will hope his side would earn all three points against the Hammers would held Manchester United to goalless stalemate on Thursday night now have kept two consecutive clean sheets, despite being defensively weak for most of the season.
The two side occupies the 15th and 8th positions respective as they head into the season finale, but West Ham are just two point to catching Newcastle United in the 10th position.
This would be a tough encounter between both sides even though the three points is getting them nowhere but Merson has tipped the Hammers to earn a narrow 1-0 victory against Sam Allardyce’s men.
The former Arsenal man turned pundit wrote in his column for Sky Sports:
“It depends what teams the managers put out but when I was playing for nothing on the final game of the season, I went out there and expressed myself.
“They’ve picked up a bit recently, West Ham, and Everton aren’t going to score a load of goals away from home. There’s still some grumbling against the manager too. Narrow home win.”
West Ham season have been some mixed season with good and bad feelings but this is likely to be forgotten quickly in the memory and they will surely improved this summer ahead of them. David Moyes’ future as the Hammers boss still looks in doubt, while their current squad looks to be miles away from competing for the European spots next season.
