According to several reports from British tabloids, it’s believed Premier League club, Arsenal are considering move for Italian midfielder Dennis Praet.
The tabloid, citing report from Italian football expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, claimed the Premier League club have already held “concrete talks” with the player’s agent.
It’s reported that the 24-year-old Belgium international has reportedly been on the club’s radar and it’s believed the Gunners news boss Unai Emery is in pole position to sign the midfielder.
Praet, rated at £22million was a product of Anderlecht’s youth system and grown to be an high-prospect.
He became a regular first-team player in 2011, scoring 27 goals in 182 appearances for Anderlecht, whilst winning three domestic titles with the Belgian outfit before eventually joining the Serie A club.
At Sampdoria, he’s registered 69 appearances with the club across all competition and if reports are anything to go by, the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, AS Roma are said to be interested in his services.
Arsenal need a new signing in every department of the team with the club January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang once admits the club’s “staganated” in the final years of Arsene Wenger’s reign at the club.
Aubameyang, who joined Arsenal on January’s transfer deadline day from Borussia Dortmund, says the team are considering moving on under the tutelage of new manager Unai Emery.
He said on French radio station RMC:
“Like in the last few seasons, you have to say the reality is the club has stagnated a little bit. Everyone is a little bit excited to see what happens next season.”
The Gabon international added:
“It’s certainly strange that the coach is leaving after 22 years. That’s life, you have to move forward. We need everyone to think that we have to work hard to rival the best.”
Emery joins Arsenal after being replaced at Paris St Germain by Thomas Tuchel.
Aubameyang said of Emery:
“He’s a very good coach. At Paris, it’s never very easy. There’s enormous pressure.”
