According to reports from British media, it’s believed Daniele Rugani has agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea but Juventus are not willing to let go of the defender.
As reported by the Evening Standard, the tabloid claimed the 23-year-old centre-back has agreed personal terms with the FA Cup holders ahead of his proposed move to London.
However, the report adds further that Serie A club Juventus currently have no intention of selling the defender this summer which is what is believed delaying Rugani’s announcement as Chelsea player.
Chelsea FC have been strongly linked with a move to sign Rugani this summer as new boss Maurizio Sarri looks to add to his options at the back ahead of next season.
It’s also added that talks between the two club over Rugani’s signing fee is yet to be agreed upon but as it stands, the player has agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea.
Chelsea are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of quality signings this summer as they look to try and build a team capable of challenging the title next season.
The west London club completed their second signing of the summer last week when they completed a deal to bring veteran goalkeeper Rob Green to Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Jorginho earlier this month.
