Tottenham Hotspur have made initial enquiries about the possibility of signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez this summer, according to Diario Gol.
The Spanish football outlet report that the 26-year-old winger has informed Los Blancos about his interest to leave the club this summer in order to continue his development as a player.
Diario Gol claim that the winger wants more regular gamt time, and has several top European clubs showing interest in his services this summer.
Tottenham are reported to have enquired about the pacey winger, as have Liverpool, Arsenal, and Serie A giants AS Roma.
The Real Madrid winger had scored seven goals and provided 13 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Madrid this season, with most of those superb performance coming from the bench.
The Spaniard burst onto the scene for Madrid a couple of seasons ago, but has found his playing time at the Bernabeu limited by the clubs insistence on bringing in expensive overseas talent.
The Los Blancos youth product has registered 100 appearances for his boyhood club, but has neber really been in the picture to register a regular starting XI for long.
There is no doubt that Vazquez is a brilliant winger, and his wasted talents must be taken elsewhere if he wants to achieve his potential in the game.
At this point in time, Liverpool may be in pole position to sign the Spaniard this summer, with the Merseyside reportedly tracking him for several months.
It would also seem a bit of a strange move for Tottenham to sign another winger after the January purchase of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain.
Both these factors mean a move to North London looks relatively unlikely for the winger. Arsenal however, might be the only team to challenge Liverpool for his signing as the Gunners look they could do with a new man on the wing.
