Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay Napoli a reported fee of €5m (£4.4m) to release coach Maurizio Sarri ahead of his appointment to replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Italian boss is still under contract with the Serie A club despite having already appointed Carlo Ancelotti last as new head-coach last month.
Speculation over Conte’s future at the Bridge is still up in the air, with the report gathering new momentum following reports that he has fallen out with the club’s board.
Now accordin to report from Football Italia, the webstie claim talks are currently ongoing between Chelsea chief executive Marina Granovskaia and Partenopei director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli.
The report claims that Sarri has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, namely a contract until June 2020 with an option to renew for a third season.
Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is believed to have been earmarked to work alongside Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
