Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Brazilian and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker as the goalkeeper has arrived in England.
The Reds gazumped their Premier League rival Chelsea to an agreement with the Serie A club over the signing of Alisson on a deal worth around £66.9m. After personal has reportedly been agreed, the Chelsea target had to cut short his holiday in Sardinia to fly to the north of England, ready to undergo a medical in Liverpool on Friday (today).
As reported by Brazilian outlet Pagine Romaniste, Alisson is joining Liverpool on a reported £58m deal with a further £8.9m in installments, taking his total worth to Liverpool around €75m ($87,100,950.00).

The goalkeeper, who stands at 6ft4″, is expected to put pen to paper on a five year contract, having been convinced to join their side ahead of Chelsea, by the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp and his Brazil team-mate Roberto Firmino.
His move to Liverpool would be a record deal, surpassing the €53m paid by Juventus for Gianluigi Buffon way back in 2001 and the £35m paid by Manchester City for Alisson’s compatriot Ederson last summer. Alisson to Liverpool would serve as high upgrade on Loris Karius who had been flop between the sticks.
It was reported on Wednesday morning (via Sky Sports) that Chelsea were expected to come in with an offer for the Brazilian goalkeeper but as it stands, it appears Liverpool have been one step ahead of the west London club in race to sign the goalkeeper.

Chelsea, however, have only signed Jorginho so far this window while Liverpool, on the other hand, have already signed Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita this summer.
Alisson Becker to Liverpool would likely be the Reds last transfer activity of the window for this summer.
