“Welcome to London” – Pulisic all smiles in Chelsea shirt after completing €50m move

According to German newspaper Bild, the tabloid reports that Borussia Dortmund have given the green light for the signing of American international Christian Pulisic to join Chelsea.

Earlier in the week, it’s claimed that the Bundesliga giants wanted to sign Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to Dortmund and were willing to offer Pulisic as part of any potential deal.

However, the feeling is that Dortmund are willing to the Arsenal target leave for an estimated €50million as he slips down the pecking order at the German leaders.

Pulisic is a player not short of potential suitors and Liverpool were linked with him during the summer – Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the player from his days as Borussia Dortmund boss. A move like this 12 months ago would have been out of the question but Pulisic has made it known he’d be open to a potential move to guarantee regular first team football as England’s Jadon Sancho continues to earn rave reviews.

Bild says the move could go ahead when the January transfer window opens but the player probably wouldn’t move until the summer. Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to bring in more midfield talent with many believing Eden Hazard’s days at Stamford Bridge are now numbered with a move to Real Madrid looking increasingly likely.

While Chelsea have built their midfield around Jorginho, it’s acknowledged they need someone like Pulisic to offer something different. In the past it has been reported that Chelsea are keen to bring in an American international to increase their market value in the States.

So far, Chelsea fans have taken to social media Twitter to express delight as Pulisic to Chelsea now looks very positive with some among the Blues fans even going as far as donning the player in Chelsea’s shirt.
