Premier League giant Manchester United are now in the market to finally solve their right-back problems as they make plans to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Thomas Meunier, who is reported to be available in the range of £25 million.
The reports also claims that the United board are currently looking at the right-backs available in the market having been linked to Tottenham’s star Kieran Trippier and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but the Ligue 1 star is proving the best of the links.
The Belgium international has been dropped from the first team of the French club this season and is reported to have just 14 months left in his contract at the Parc Des Princes.
The Red Devils have also been linked with move to sign Chelsea’s youngster Reece James, who is on a season-long loan at Wigan Athletic, having put up an outstanding performance in the Championship.
But the Blues is highly unlikely to sell a future prospect to a direct rival and Wan-Bissaka and Trippier will be costing the Reds a lot more cash than Meunier who is available for £25m.
Thomas Meunier in his three year stint with PSG will be lifting his second Ligue 1 title by the end of the season. Having appeared for the club in 20 league games Meunier has bagged three goals and three assists this season.
